I hear there's a bridge for sale up your way....
Unless the seller has all the right paperwork, can document the whole deal, nothing funny in the transfer of money, not a salvage title, etc etc I'd steer clear.
I'd expect an '06 620 with 1,000 miles to sell for more like $6,500. Maybe as low as $5,500 if the seller is desperate for cash. But not $3,500.

Is the title clear? Check for "Salvage" or other title "brands".

He was a totally straight shooter, the seller was a restaurant owner in Manhattan that just wanted a very quick sale. I even called the local Ducati dealer and they said they knew him and sold him the bike brand new in June 06. He said it was more important that someone enjoyed it than to get more money. I honestly can't believe it yet. At home I now have a Multistrada 620 with less than 1000 miles - - 954!! I feel like I owe karma something now...or maybe it owed me something...nah, must be the other way around. I haven't been this excited since I was 14 with my first dirtbike. Photos will soon follow, and now I guess I can hangout at this site! Thanks for the input fellas.
More questions....
The only imperfections are a cracked right tail fairing, and a scraped plastic thing that sticks out of the right handlebar grip. They didn't happen from a crash, because the damage is isolated and he said they were from contractors moving the bike in the parking garage. Anyone know where to get these parts??? Are there any preferred places of getting aftermarket parts like frame sliders, handlebars, etc???

wow!!! you should go buy lottery tix with your luck!
acerbis makes some handguards that will replace the plastic knob on the bars (or you could go with the dp ones since you saved so much $$).
i got my framesliders (and front fork sliders) from www.motovation.com. great price and great customer service.
congrats on the new bike!

Actually, my original plan was to pick up this bike upstate new york with a $2500 asking price...its a 1992 750SS with a monster front end....so I'm actually way over my planned budget!!! If anyone is interested in this one, I can put you in touch with the dude selling it in New Paltz.

Fantastic! Congrats on the new bike. You'd've ended up spending way more than $1,000 I'd guess to fix up the 750SS...so ya done well.Butch757 wrote:He was a totally straight shooter, the seller was a restaurant owner in Manhattan that just wanted a very quick sale.
