My K12RS is near sold :(. If it goes the Mutli is a serious candidate. There is a Multi 1000DS near me for sale. I like the bike but don't know to much about them other than they are air cooled .

The bike is a 2004, has new tires and 4K miles and seller wants $7.7K.

1. Is there anything I should know about this particular year?
2. Is this a reasonable price.
3. Any other information is appreciated.

After 2004 I believe they changed to a longer side stand, and I think you can get this fitted - some duc dealers will do it as a warranty item I believe. From 05 onwards, they fitted longer mirror stems and taller screen too. I'd see if these were fitted to the bike.

Also, do a search on valve guides on here - heaps of info about that too. I'm sure others on here will have a lot more info too.

I also think that year had an issue with the fuel gauge, but soft valve guides is the main prob i think??
After 04 I think they fitted a supposedly more comfortable seat, but my 07 models seat is still pretty hard!!
Re price; has it a full dealer service history etc... in the UK that bike would probably be about that money...so I would have thought in the US it should no more than 7-7.5k $?? but the local guys can tell you more...

Yup, from what I've read, all models prior to 2007 have the fuel gauge issue - i.e., the reserve light goes on when the tank's only half empty.
