I have a 2009 MS1100s and found a gorgeous 1200 w/Panniers, upgraded seat, pipe, crash bars, fairing; everything on it I want to do to the '09. The dealer said the bike has 6250 miles, then when I was ready to purchase the dealer said TMU? Total Miles Unknown, what? There was a recall and the dealer had to replace the guage? I don't know the whole story - dealer said bike has 15k miles and the 15k services was just done. Going back tomorrow - about $8k out the door. Good deal, right?

Any issues?

Now looking to sell my '09 MS1100s white with 7550 miles. Only the kickstand touches the ground. Still need to turn the wrench off for service, otherwise up to date. $6500? [/url]

be sure about the 15 k service being done because it is very expensive.
Mine was $1300. at that service. You are good then, till 30K for the next major service.

Have dealer look up the service history on the bike and look at every service. Make sure it is not problem ridden....

Are you sure you want to give up that 1100 for a first year 1200?

That last year of the air cooled 1100 was perfectly sorted out.

Make sure all updates/recalls have been done. 2010 is a fine machine, but there are first year issues that should've been rectified by recall/updates.
