Re: looking for a 620
The only negative - if you can call it that - are services every 6,000 miles, and bi-yearly timing belt changes. Other than that, the 620 is a fantastic bike, and makes a great multi-purpose, fun-to-ride machine!

Re: The new Japanese Multistrada
Interesting comparison. The Multi will always have more 'soul' than anything from Japan. However, it's always nice to see these types of multi-use bikes coming to market in the USA. I really hope that Kawasaki addresses the few problems the Versys has for 2009. Additionally, I hope we see another ...

Re: The new Japanese Multistrada
Hmm I liked that bike better when it was called the VStrom.
Actually the VStrom has more in common with the Multistrada than the Versys - the Kawasaki is a Parallel Twin. 8)

Re: The new Japanese Multistrada
3,000 miles on a MTS 620, and no real problems (knock on wood). However, the dealership experience has been very poor and maintence cost is high. I seriously considered a Versys, and was going to get one, but I found a deal on the 620 Multi I just could not pass up. However I closely watch the ...

Re: Centerstand info
The side stand can be used in conjunction with the center stand. However, there is much debate whether the centerstand will drag the ground while turning under normal riding. Some say it does, other say is does not.

What is a new 2006 MS620 worth?
I am finally ready to buy, and have found several new MS620 at various dealerships in my state. They say MSRP is $8500 and I've gotten quotes from $7300, to $7500 out the door. Now, I can buy a 2008 Jap bike (650 Versys or 650 V-Strom) for about $6700. Of course it isn't a Ducati, but coming up on ...

Want a MTS 620 or 1000, but am scared of the maintenance $$$
Hello everyone. I'm new to the forum. I am strongly considering getting a MTS 620, or 1000. I would be buying a used 620 (obviously because they aren't made anymore), or a 2005 -2006 1,000 because I prefer the silver wheels vs the black wheels of 2007 models. I've also looked at an Aprilla Caponord ...
