I have one of those from an 04 DS1000, some flakey paint, otherwise all good.

I will get photos up later if you want the part.

Postage to Sweden is £20 inc insurance, tracking and signed for. 3 to 5 days delivery.

PM me a sensible offer subject to seeing photos.

Re: thinking about buying an 05 Multistrada DS

Thank you all for your feedback! I picked her up last night. Such a major upgrade from my Honda XR. Corners seem much less scary once I got used to its nimbleness and the 2hr highway ride back to my house was a lott more pleasant than what I'm used to. Off to go do a fresh oil change (any links to ...

Re: 08 1100DS S - with issues

Regarding ethanol in fuel, it has been standard in Canada for many years. However there are exceptions. Chevron does not add ethanol to their 94 premium, which is what I usually run.

Re: 08 1100DS S - with issues

Very common in the States and becoming more common in Europe as more and more is added to our Gas-----was 5% then 10 ...

Re: Is this 1000DS a good bet?

No mention of valve clearance check/adjust, just a bit of patter re plugs oil and belts. Valve check on a DS1000 is every 6200 miles or 10,000 k according to the Ducati service schedule.

You could miss one, seems as though this bike may have missed 2 or worse 3. It costs a lot to get done at a ...

5000 miles a year isn't that high for a Multistrada - you should be fine running it that distance every year. As long as you get them serviced regularly they seem to be fairly reliable.
