Re: Considering 2008 Multi 1100S with no red key and 1 black

No red key is not a big deal. You will not need one unless you want to make another copy. If it really bugs you, you can send your ECU to DesmoPorsche and he will disable immobilizer for you - problem solved.

Re: Ready to buy 1100S but . . . . .

Brian,

Classic Multi is a little behind V-Strom in passenger comfort, but not that far. Multi passenger seat is a bit higher so your 5'9" passenger will be out in open air quite a lot. Make sure she has nice helmet and earplugs, and you are set. And the fun.... well, let's say you will have plenty ...

Re: 1100 vs 1200

This is exactly why I'm holding on to my original Multi, I have never had a bike with this much character. Spanish tuner Radical calls aircooled Multi engine "romantic" and I'm in love with it. My 1100 handles great, delivers 50mpg and does everything I want it to do. What more can I ask for?

Re: far mirrors

I think I will be selling my FAR mirrors soon. I paid $225 for them + $$ for proper resistors to make them blink right. Make a fair offer.

Re: HELP ME ! 2004 1000ds

I suspect this is some kind of scam, why would someone try to sell 5K bike for 2K? Be extremely cautious.

Re: 1000 dry clutch vs 11000 wet clutch

I had 1000S and thought dry clutch noise was cool until I got my 1100S. 1100S all the way.

Re: What would you pay ?

I think 10K is a bit too much for this one. The second you roll off the dealer's floor, you have 3 year old bike. See what 07 Multi's are going for, perhaps add 1K for for low mileage, and you got your price. I would say 8K tops.

The question is how the heck do you have time to ride all these miles? :)

Re: Thinking of black mts 1000

Just make sure the bike you are getting was well maintained with all services fully done and on time. Good condition Multis are reliable, it's the neglected ones you want to stay away from. If you can, buy 2006 and newer (1100 would be the ideal choice)

Re: 1100 Mulit - CA emission compliant?

I'm pretty sure the bike is legal in all states including CA. Now getting to the sticker so you can show it to DMV inspector could be an issue. Make sure you can get to it before you go.
