Re: questions on potential 2006 mts620 purchase

Belt change is at 6000m OR 2 years whichever comes FIRST. It should have had 2 belt changes. If it hasn't it needs doing ASAP, belts are around £80 don't know thw labour as do my own.

Re: Purchasing MTS 620 without a test ride

I bought mine before they even made one. Put down a deposit a week after it was announced. Wouldn't have anything else - not even the 1000!!

Re: Fuel Mileage on the 620?

If I am ragging it, about 90 - 100 miles to the light. Steady 75/80mph on the motorway got to 150m and still no light !!

Re: A little help on the 620 please

The engine is happiest at over 4000rpm, and the mirror vibes disappear by then anyway. I rarely ride mine at under 5000rpm and have no complaints about the mirrors. They are heaps better than most other bikes in any case.

Re: Can't believe the height

you seem to develop a knack for sliding over one way or the other and getting plenty of foot on the ground. A tripod is about as stable as it gets so I stick to most of one or the other foot on the ground or the toes of both.

Pretty much what I do. The seat is quite narrow at the front, so I ...

Re: 620? 1000? Aye, whats a lad to do?

[quote="ajenkins"]anyway; it's much more of a thrill to wring a bike's neck on a twisty road than to accelerate really fast. So for me the 620 is actually more fun, since it takes a little more shifting technique to keep my speed up on twisty hilly roads than with a bigger bike. [quote]

Couldn't ...

Re: Monster 1000 or Multistrada 1000

I traded a Monster 620 for a Multi 620. I didn't like the Monster riding position very much, and I fell for the Multi looks in a big way. The Multi steers better, more comfortable and generally more fun to ride. I also found the more upright posture gives better visibility, and more noticeable to ...

Re: MultiStrada 620 questions, please.

Ditto to all that. My fuel is about 55 - 60 mpg, and I rarely use top gear.

Service intervals 6000m & 12000m, so cost is spread over longer than UJM's etc.

Careful - riding a Multistrada is catching - and there's no known cure..

Seriously, I have a 620 and have no problems with the bike. Love the bike, love riding it even more.

Re: Can you lower 620 height

Apparently a lowering kit is available, which will give you 1 - 1.5 inches. Don't forget to drop the front as well.... . How tall are you? I'm 5'7" and manage fine.

Just seen the reply on other post......

Re: Multi 620 or Multi 1000DS ?????

The brakes on the 620 are nothing like as good as on the 1000. However, they do take a couple of hundred miles to bed in properly, and I certainly don't have any problem with mine. 2-up, I'd think about uprating the 2-pot jobs to Gold 4-pot, or buy the 1000.

Re: 620 servicing

Should be about the same price wise. Mileage 1=600m, 2=6000m, 3=12000m.

Hope that helps
