Re: Ducati Purchase 101
I don't think there's much negotiation on the bike's price...unless you get 2 dealers pitted against one another...but there really isn't much room to move. You will definitely be able to negotiate dealer prep and shipping charges, though. I was able to get the prep and shipping thrown in, traded in ...

Re: OTD price for MTS 620 in So Cal?
Looks like pricing went up for all 2006 Multi's (except for the 1000). That price doesn't sound like he is giving you a discount at all. The MTS 620 lists for $8495. Add 8.25% for sales tax (it might be higher in Orange cty), that's $9195.84. So he is charging you $997.16 for dealer prep and title ...

If not, can someone tell me if there are options to make the clutch pull any easier?
I think you'll love the 2005 1000s. I've had zero problems with mine and I believe there are a couple other guys on the site who have had great success with their's as well.

I second Tee-Dub!
The MTS has been compared with the BMW R1200GS, I guess because it is an 'Adventure Tourer' but then again the BMW won't handle rocks too well, but will get you off road, mostly trail riding. Even the F650GS if you want something smaller. Be prepared to spend the money! The KTM ...

Re: Multi 620 or Multi 1000DS ?????
How about solo touring on a 620 with bags, though? I am not a big man - 5'10" and 150 pounds - and the 620's lower standover height and price sound good to me.
Alaskan...I'm 5'6" and 165 and I have zero problems with the height of the 1000 so I don't think you will either. Decide on price if it's ...

finally buying my MTS!
I'm hoping to go out this afternoon and buy my MTS-S today from one of the (2) local dealers here in southern CA...Del Amo Motorsports or Pro-Italia. Hoping, meaning as long as I get the deal I'm looking for. Anyone know if the MTS has any negotiating room like buying a car, or do dealers have a ...
