I think you'll get funky vibrations if your bike is in too high of a gear (if you're going 25 or 30 and you're in 5th gear). It's also true that if you're in too high of a gear for the speed you're going, that the RPMs will be low, below 3,000 or so.

I notice some vibration (windshield vibrates) in the 3k rpm range, but only in lower gears but I haven't hit the 1k mile mark yet.

Service: I was quoted $385 for the 600 mile service (SF bay area). They told me it's oil change plus tightening the belts... Plus they're going to tighten my mirror ...

In the SF bay area, I almost bought a Suzuki sv650 until I decided to just go sit on a Ducati. Then I was shocked to see that the Ducati 620 retailed for the same price (within a couple hundred dollars), both around $7,500 US.

I wonder if the 06 price bump is because of the performance of the Euro over the US Dollar... I know VW is not selling the Eurovan (my other vehicle) in the US anymore because they can't sell it for a profit in the states. Just speculating.
