Re: What could I offer the dealer???
I take it this is a standard model !
If so, you would have a great deal @$12,000 out the door with bags & rack with topcase.
If it is an S model, just buying it straight up w/out bags at his asking price would also be a great deal.

By formerly owning a rideing several friend's Guzzis, I feel that you will thoroughly enjoy either one you choose. But they are completely different animals.
The Duck will feel 20 years newer than the Guzzi in engine refinement, and far more confidence inspiring during spirited rideing.

Re: mts 620 vs sv-650 (my comparison)
I hafta agree with Bohdan, somethings wrong with your friends brakes.
Although I wish they were 4 pot Brembos, my SV's brakes are no slouch.
And with the full Yoshi system and airbox mod, the sound provides plenty of "character".

Re: Buy new or old MTS
New VS used ?
Where money is of concern, consider this........................
A new Multi will lose around 30% of it's invested $ value in the first year.
And thats not including the cost of any accessories.
New anythings are never a smart monetary investment.
But, with the thought of never ...

Re: Considering A Multi
Really wouldn't matter which year you buy, as it's a win win proposition.
If cost is of major concern, go for the discounted 06/04 model.
Reliability wise, the DS motors have been reputed as the best motors to ever come out of the factory. There are some niggles here and there, but overall ...

Re: 06 MTS for sale
HI
I have an 06 MTS for sale. It is red. I have installed a monster mudguard on the rear and KTM hand guards. The rest is stock. The bike is mint. It has 2500 kms and the balance of the warranty left. It is located in Regina ( the city that rhymes with fun ) Sk. Canada. I am new to this so not ...

Re: do u like the idea of a wet clutch on the 1100 ????
Far less contamination of the oil supply is the biggest advantage to me.
And to a extremely small extent, less frictional loss of power.
Also, that beautiful clatter that distinguishes the Duc from others, some don't care for it, but I love it.

They have a motor design that thrums out passion that makes every other mfgs motors feel dull and boreing in comparison.rebelventurer wrote: And what is the biggest reason you bought a ducati?
