I've had virtually no problems in 13K miles on my 620. I get it serviced at the recommended intervals, replace the consumables as needed, and fill the tank with gas. No problems......

FWIW, my gas mileage went down after I put on a 14T sprocket. It's running higher rpm's at highway speeds. It probably doesn't help that highway speeds around here tend be be in the 80's.

I know two guys, one has a KLR650 and the other has a GS650 Dakar. Neither one is that great on the highway, but the GS is a little better.
