2007-2009 Multi wanted
A friend who is not active on the forums is looking to buy an 1100. He's pretty particular with his motorcycles, so he is looking for a clean and low-moderate mileage bike. He would prefer a bike with the factory panniers. Despite my best efforts to sell him on the older 1000DS bikes, he's focused ...

Re: Pikes Peak UK
No shoulder issues, but my air-cooled Multi gave me odd little pains in the elbows, almost like tennis elbow, after a long ride. I switched to a lower, narrower bar (Rizoma) and the problem went away. I don't mean to discourage you from getting a Multi, but if you want to keep the Scrambler, comfort ...

Re: WTB - Center Stand for 1000DS
The side stands on 1100's are longer. About 280 mm or 11'' from centre of bolt to start of the foot. You can only dream of finding a centre stand.
Note the longer sidestand was fitted from '05, so also appears on the '05-'06 620, 1000 and 1000S. It was also available as a dealer upgrade for ...

Re: WTB - Center Stand for 1000DS
This is not a center stand solution, but I believe a Hypermotard sidestand will fit on the A-C multistrada (620, 1000 or 1100).
Here's an aftermarket item that lists compatibility with both Hyper and Multi, so it would seem to indicate that a stock item would also work in either application. Of ...

Re: Want to by 1100s...with some issues
I am 99% sure that the Multistrada was never sold as new with the white body/red frame. The bike must have started as a red/red bike and either due to personal preference or damage to the original bodywork, it was changed.

Re: 2007 MTS 1000 DS Possible???
I have never heard of a factory made 1000DS for model year 2007 in the US, but who knows for other markets. It is also possible that the bike was crashed and the owner simply got a good deal on 1000DS parts. The only difference in the bodywork is the labeling/stickers.

Hmmm, I can't find a thread that says whether the parts are the same. Looking on rubbersideup.com, the two parts appear identical, but have different part numbers.

It's easy to post pics from your gallery.
Simply copy the url of the page, paste it into your post, highlight the link in your post and then click the "Img" button. It will come out like this:

Re: Looking to buy air cooled Multi- 1100 vs 1000. S vs non S
I owned a non-S and never really faulted the suspension, but I test rode an S and the Ohlins was very nice; plush yet very composed at a sporting pace. You can make the non-S composed, but then it won't be quite as plush. You can make it plush, but then it might be just a bit too soft. Neither flaw ...

Re: Need a Ducatil Multistrada Tool Kit
You don't really need the chain adjustment tool. I used to just grab the rear chain/sprocket guard and twist.
There are multiple threads on here explaining how to do this. Here are just a couple:

Re: Importing from the US to Canada? How about this one...
I'm just going by the pics so I could be totally wrong, but at a glance, I don't think that tank is bad enough to be a major problem for removal/installation. Others can probably speak better to the removal issue though. Other than oil changes, battery replacement and a handlebar/controls swap, I ...

Re: Importing from the US to Canada? How about this one...
The tank is starting to expand, but it is not too bad. If you look at the second to last picture, you can see the rear panels lifted slightly in the second to last picture. I clipped it and added an arrow here (click to enlarge):

Re: Trading my Hyperstrada for a Multistrada UPDATE
With the 2015 model having significant changes, you might be able to get a really good deal on a left over 2014, if not now, then when the new model starts arriving at dealers.
