Re: Should I buy Multistrada or kawi z1000?
Thats a good piont, and that is another reason I got one.their are alot of great bikes out there. You just have to think it out about what you want in a bike. Everybody has differant needs, and how they use a bike is the main thing. I wanted a comfortible sport tourer with good performance. Naked ...

Re: Showa vs Ohlings
Im am 190lbs, and the Showa's work just perfectly. I like to ride fast and have even adjusted them 2 clicks stiffer ( rear preload ). I'm not even considering changing a thing suspention wise on my 1000DS. For the most part the Ohlins do have more adjustment for lighter riders. the bike comes set at ...

Re: Should I buy Multistrada or kawi z1000?
No bike trades in well, It looses 25 to35% approx. as soon as you ride it away from the dealer. Ducati's for the most part, retain value well. Not as good as HD, but about the same as BMW,and better than the japanese bikes. It mostly pertains strictly to used sales. Its not always about which bike ...

Re: Should I buy Multistrada or kawi z1000?
True to some extent, but some have more character and style. Try to sell a jap bike 10 years down the road. Or look at it this way. A harley rider will only ride a harley. nothing else will due. Is it a better bike? I think not, but a bike can be more than the sum of its parts. Im not bashing jap ...

Re: Not so sure about my S4R........
Sure, two Ducati's would not suck. But to only have one. The multi will do. But my 2 cents. the S4R looks to buzy to be naked. needs some cooling fins.

Re: Multistrada 1000 as first Bike?
1000cc is to big for a 1st bike. Sure you might do O.K.if you are mature
enough.( say 35 or so). but you can get yourself in trouble quicker on a bigger cc bike. 1000cc is not for learning, but if you have done some riding before you might be able to do it.

Re: dirty ability of the MS
Took my Mts off road in both dirt and sand. You would not want to have to ride very far. Not to well suited for it with stock tires,
but it was able to take it.

Re: Multistrada vs. Bike X, Y, or Z
Tuono is a partialy naked full sport bike. Mts is not. as for other bikes its too differant  . I thinks its between a 1200GS, and the R1150RS
but closer to the RS then the GS. Its more a standard/sport/tourer bike than a adventure tourer. sort of a naked RT :eh: . but thats the thing about ...

Peter
Paul's right about the view from the seat (as hard as it might be). It's
great. But I disagree about the view from the front. It's differant, thats
all, not like some cute cat eyes :stubborn: , and that turns some poeple
off. But thats more cool 8) .
