I have the DPs on mine. I think the driver seat sucks for anything over 150 miles, but wife has sat on the back for over 400 with no complaint. She likes the DP. Says she is comfy and slides around less than the stock.
But you never want to leave them exposed to direct sunlight, you will get a ...

Re: Two Up Riding Comfort on 1100s
My wife and I will generally do up to 400 miles/day when we are travelling. All I can say is that at the end of the day she is more comfortable than I am!
With the full bag set around her she has even napped at times.
We did this on the 620 and were happy, the 1100S is just that much more stable ...

Re: questions on potential 2006 mts620 purchase
Should of had a cursory dealer check at 600 miles. Technically the first valve/belt service is not due until 6000.
Since its close to that time anyway, work a discount for upcoming service into the selling price and take it right to the local Duc shop.
It hopefully will not require anything major ...

Re: A Question for the 620 Owners
620 worked great for me out of the box.
That being said, I have put the DP gel seats on- only slightly better than stock but when doing 400 mile days any little bit helps.
I regularily go with the side bags, top box and wife all hanging off the back. When we are fully loaded the suspension is ...

Re: WTB: Arrow Exhaust Db killers
All I can say is I have had the carbons for 2 years and run about half the time with the killers in. In or out I notice no substantial heat from the cans.

Must depend on the model cause mine sure have DB killers held in by snap rings.Rww wrote:The carbon fiber cans do not have the snap ring grove.

Re: Would like to buy Multistrada 620-advice please
If you find a clean one with reasonable miles--- go for it!!
I've had mine for 2 1/2 years, since new, and other than the 6k service and tires it has not cost a penny. (Course I am currently due for the 12k but I'm thinking of tackling that one myself to save a few $$. Over the winter maybe.)

Re: Question about 2-up tripping
The wife and I do a fair amount of daytrips on the 620 as well as long weekend rides of up to 300 miles per day. As long as she has the topbox with backrest in place there have been no complaints. We are average size.
No issue with power or handling so an 1100 should work great for you.

Re: engine heat
Last August did a 3-day roadtrip here in the muggy northeast. Temps in the high 90's (just my luck), with gear on and the wife on the back. Neither one of us had any complaints about the bike- the heat from the pavement was more noticeable than anything coming from the bike.

Re: Noob questions <------ here.
You should be able to get that red 620 for under 7500- I know because I did and I know of at least two others who bought for that price as well.
Out the door with all that gear sounds like a good deal- if you need or want all that stuff! (Then again maybe i'm just jealous since I could swing the ...
