Re: wanted: cruse control and hand guards for a 05 1000S D

Sorry, I do not remember the brand but I have cruise control with Ducati hand guards on my 06 S. The only problem is that I could not find an allen bolt that is the right length with the added length necessary for the cruise and guard. Used a phillips screw and it wants to loosen up (can't get it ...

Re: Multistrada vs. what?

I will reply to the first part of your question. I have had many, many motorcycles. Spent plenty of money on them and I find that the Multi is my favorite of all.

Thought about replacing last year and could not find anything to compare for me. I have done some performance mods - Staintune exhaust ...

Re: S vs non-S?

I am 6'2" and 225lbs as well. I have an 06 1000s. I have had the valving replaced with Ohlins superbike valving and had the fork and rear springs changed for my weight and riding style. The bike handles like it is on rails. I couldn't be happier with the handling.

Suggest that at your weight you ...

Re: Tall rider

I am 6'2", 225 suited up with 34" inseam. Fits me perfectly.

You did not mention your weight. I found that as I pushed my bike in the twisties it did not handle as well as it should (under sprung for my weight). I had the suspension dialed in (springs and valving changed) by GMD Computrack in ...

Re: Hello campers...

I have an 06 1000S .....I am 6'2" and weight 225 lbs. What I found was the suspension is right for someone about 160lbs but did not handle well for me at 225 lbs. I had GMD Computrack in Atlanta tune the suspension for me which included changing both fork and rear shock springs and it made a huge ...

Re: Looking to purchase an 06' 1000S is this a fair deal?

I purchased earlier in the year an 06 S with 3,800 miles and about $2,000 of improvements for just under $10,000. Warranty still good until mid 08. I have now spent an additional $4,000 (Ohlins springs changed and valving changed to supertbike valving, complete Staintune, desmotimes Stage 4 Full ...

Re: Staintune Exhaust

I have the complete system on a 06 1000s and it sounds wonderful with and without the baffles. I have installed a Power Card to smooth out the fuel delivery. It produces a wonderful sound with no surging or backfiring and runs much, much, much better.

Good Luck on your decision.

Re: Gettin' a used Multi 1000s

I bought a 9 month old 06 S with 3600 miles and $2500 in options I wanted and would have purchased for $10,000.

Re: Monster or MTS?

You can't go wrong with a Ducati. I don't know you riding style but for me it is an 06 Multi S. What I did with the 06 Multi S and an 07 S2R 800 was to take it to Kent at GMD Computrack Atlanta. I said I want them on rails. No heading into the corner and the bike heading for the weeds regardless of ...
