A dealer has an 06' 1000S and is asking $10,500, is this a fair deal?

Any insight would be helpful.

Cheers!

I purchased earlier in the year an 06 S with 3,800 miles and about $2,000 of improvements for just under $10,000. Warranty still good until mid 08. I have now spent an additional $4,000 (Ohlins springs changed and valving changed to supertbike valving, complete Staintune, desmotimes Stage 4 Full Monty clutch and PowerCard).

At just over 10,000 miles the bike is one amazing ride. It is very, very quick.

hi,
Is Desmo Times Powercard any good ????
Desmotimes claim:
"it fixed low end problems on a customer's MTS1000,
then boosted off-idle and midrange performance on an '02 998,
and finally fixed the backfiring on my '04 MTS1000'"

Has anybody tried using one?

Cheers!

Yes, I run one and its true the bike runs very well. I have removed the intake baffles in the air box, leaving a pair of openings about 3x4, and just added some fuel and Wow. I have an Arrow full system as well. It takes a little time messing around with it to figure it out but it is easy to adjust on the road. I carry a copy of the instruction with me in case of trouble. It's been a year and a half since I installed and no trouble.

Do a search on power card and desmo times and you should be able to find a number of testimonies. It's at the top of my off-season mods/Christmas-gift-to-self list for this winter.
