Well, after lurking here for far too long I am finally buying a Multi. I'm looking at one this weekend and have a few questions.

It's an '06 S with about 10,000 miles, sidecases, Termi's & chip. It has had the valve guides replaced. I have read here many times about valve guide issues and even an unfortunate soul that had to have his replacement valve guides replaced.

My questions are as follows: What damage can ultimately occur from bad guides? Also, other than the one I have already read about here, has anyone else had any problems once their valve guides were replaced? And finally, would you be hesitant to buy this bike?

Oh yeah, it's black, the stealthily fast color and he wants $10k.
