Wanna buy » What's a good price on a "New" '07 1100 (non-S)

If you're interested in buying a Multistrada, this is the place to post questions about the bike.

A bunch of dealers in my area (SF Bay) have left over '07s -- new and demo models. What is a good price for these? One I looked at this weekend was $10K for a demo (plus tax etc.) And I have seen similar bikes at other dealerships.

Thanks, JB

Not sure about the Ducati dealer, but I picked up an 07 non-S back in April with 409 miles on it for $8650.00 that was perfect. The tires weren't even scuffed on the sides. Looked like he rode it in a straight line. Guy bought it, owned it for 5 months and traded it in on a Honda. I bought it from the dealer where he traded it.

Hope that helps.

If it is at a Ducati dealer re a New or Demo not titled then $10,000 to $10,500.
I did buy mine that way with 30 mi on it for $10,500.

I live in Northern California and I just paid $9200 at the local dealer in Sacramento. Not only did I get a great price everyone I dealt with at Good Times Motorsports were awesome. Not a demo either, only had 6 miles on it!

Just for a point of reference, I had an opportunity to buy a '07 S-demo(1500 miles) at $10,400.00. Then the meltdown occurred, and we discovered a significant amount of damage due to the remnants of IKE that hit the mid-west to the house. If I can see my way clear in a few months, I may go back and try to buy a "left-over" bone stock '08S.The owner took the demo. He had his eye on it for some time. That was one of my other conflicts; because my salesman told me this.

Thats until you have to get parts or service from them. No one I know in the Ducati community goes there.

I did buy some parts when I got the bike and they were good to deal with. I live in the North Bay and need to find a servicing dealer, any suggestions?

You have several choices. Moto Mecanica in Santa Rosa. Desmoto Sport in SF. Munroe Motors in SF. The best non dealer service center in all of California is Nichols Sport bike service in Milpitas. The owner actually owns a high end machinist shop next door and I can only guess he has a passion for motorcycles, in particular Ducatis. I know a slew of Duc owners who will not take their bikes anywhere else, even if they live in Sacramento. I've been taking my Ducatis to them for 5 years, the last instance was a computer problem they fixed within an hour. You can call the shop and ask away any question and they will spend as much time on the phone as needed. Great place. Another shop/dealer with an outstanding reputation is Modesto Ducati. I'm just starting to deal with them and its been good. Nichols refers folks that need Dyno work and mapping to them. Nichols has a dyno, but they aren't set up yet.

Lee the mechanic at Good/Bad Times has a decent reputation, otherwise the place sucks.
