If you're interested in buying a Multistrada, this is the place to post questions about the bike.

Hi kids, I'm new here, and I'm thinking really hard about replacing my beloved '01 VFR with an '08 Multistrada 1100S.

I've been doing a lot of reading here, great forums by the way, and I'm pretty sure me and the bike would be a good fit. I rode a '90 R100GS for 12 years prior to buying the VFR.

I have searched online for promotional deals on leftover '08s but haven't really found any. Have any of you seen or heard of any killer deals lately at stores motivated to make more room for the '09s?

Thanks

Here in SoCal, there are a couple of dealerships with leftover '07 Multis still stickered at around $11k new.

No deals on '08s as of yet.

The white '09s just rolled into some dealerships last month. They're stickered at $14k.

Good luck!

14k seems very reasonable for an '09. But the one dealer I've been to who still had some '08s in stock was asking 14k for those. Maybe they'll get more motivated and drop the prices later.

The closest thing to a local dealer for me is 100 miles away, and all theirs are '09s. I'm afraid to wait too long for prices to drop at the larger and much more distant store for fear of missin' the boat completely.

I forgot about cycle trader, I'm going to check that out now.

Thanks.
