Pretty much ready to pull the trigger on a 2008. Only reasons for '08 vs. '09 choice are deal and dealer. Didn't pick Tiger or Sprint because former feels taller and is top heavier. I wonder about the sprint in traffic, the sporty position, and panniers that won't hold a helmet. But I sure wish the Multi had ABS. Used mostly in New England, suburbs, county roads, some slab, some Boston traffic.

If there is anyone here who has a reason that this rider and this motorcycle should not be together, speak now. I wouldn't want to end up forever held in pieces.

You know you are going to do it, so just perform the ceremony and live happily ever after.

Bikes aren't forever, don't obsess. Just buy it and enjoy it, when you get tired of it or want a different bike-sell and buy another.

What they said.

I loved one, bought it, enjoyed it, sold it, and am now considering another. For me it's between the ST3S or ST4S and an 1100S Multi. Strangley, I find the Multi more attractive.

Thanks all, too late for more advice. Done. Decision made. Money Spent. I will announce actual event in its own thread. I really appreciate all the help. I'm a romantic, wouldn't want a pre-nup. Under the law, however, if the Multi kills me, it can't get any of my estate. :P [/img]

on my 2nd multi, 1st was 2005 1000 SDS
Bought oct 2008 new 1100 without ohlines.

1100 much better fuel economy and accurate gauge soooooo much easier less worry !! Cant say I've missed the ohlines!! Had the seals go on ohlines twice, very expensive to replace and if one seal goes you need to replace both.
With regard to ABS I've never had it, but I have slammed on twice and no slide, stayed onboard. If that had been my suzuki bandit 1200 I'd have been on the floor!!!!!!

Had numerous bikes over last 30yrs, multi is the most comfortable, agile, sexy looking, versitile beast!! woludn't swap for anything.
Oh my cousin has a BMW 1200 and a multi1000 whenever we ride out he always uses the multi. Asked him why- more fun to ride!!!!!!!!!!!
mother despairs of me!brother thinks I'm cool!
