Yup! Back to the subject at hand though. I once was riding the canyon and passed a couple of squids on a GSXR1000 and an R1. They were going really slow and I thought that they were just crusing and enjoying the scenery so I just blew past them. I never gave them a second thought and rode into Ellensburg and stopped at the taco shop to get a bite to eat. A little while later the two squids pulled in and asked me how much horsepower my bike had. The look on their faces when I told them that it was about half of what their bikes had was priceless because as it turns out, when I blew past them, they got on it and were trying to catch me all the way through the canyon but couldn't. I had to burst their bubble and tell them that peak horsepower doesn't mean jack in that canyon, it's all about brakes and low end torque.Habanero wrote:Yep, I've ridden that road many, many times...beautiful place to live, I love that canyon.
