Wanna buy » Do MTS do high mileage or are they just sitting pretty?

If you're interested in buying a Multistrada, this is the place to post questions about the bike.

Thanks for your comments and reply. I think the points ar very good and valid and when you have owned 2 ducs before inc a MTS (o4) which was a bag of nails, its good to hear what other real riders exists like myself wanting to ride bikes in UK and europe and not lave then in garages to polish all winter. I have been looking at Tiger (bland and no charachter) GS (follow the normal pack) or Duc ( open the garge , love it and want to ride it.....lots) So like you said Nuff said, no brainer !!!!!!

Think both are in order Eddie. Its all a worry isnt it, trying to choose toys that fit the mould. When you read mktg "4 bikes in 1" you just have to try it and I want 4 in 1 for a long time and endless relaible miles to boot. Having had 2 ducs before, I know their value and attraction (except my last MTS (04) which wasnt attractive at all, in fact I would have sooner ridden a busa or that wered new bird on dragins den (sure she's a tranny)
So have just looked at it all and seems my garage will be adourned by one in the not so distant future

G'Day Clive
Just back from the Haggis Hunt in Scotland ....1824 miles round trip brings my Multi up to 66,824 miles, never missed a beat despite the rain.

Why would I sell her we had such great fun thrashing round the Glens and Lochs.
so you wont see this high mileage one for sale!!
You can't buy happiness but you can buy a bike and that's pretty close.

My multi didn't make it there and I went had to return home for another bike. I was so disappointed abt not having my multi to ride. Then the recovery man reminded me that I have had 31500 miles of reliability! He said it's rare he picks up ducats but every weekend he picks up BMW/ hondas and harleys!!!! So there you go ducats rule!
Oh and the yamaha I used was soulless and cramped but don't tell Michael!
mother despairs of me!brother thinks I'm cool!

What caused your bike to fail to make it "up North"?
