I have been riding Varadero for 4 years I ride about 30.000 KM each year Now i am thinking of buying a MS in stead of the new Varadero but I have e few questions;
With the Varadero I have a lot of baggage capasity also fully loaded with a passenger driving is no problem even longer distances (600km a day no highways) how does the MS rides under these conditions.
I drive always; sun rain snow and the Honda is very reliable but is the MS also capable of doing these things ? Without starting to rust very quickly ?
The dealer said it is no problem but he only wants to sell me a new bike. Can someone give me his personal opinion.
I had a varadero before trading it in for the MTS.
The MTS actually handles the extra weight of pillion and luggage much better than the varadero. Probably because the suspension is much stiffer so you can set the preload so that the bike geometry hardly changes at all with the extra weight at the back consequently the handling under load is much better.
The down side is that it is not as comfortable for the pillion, less room and harder seat. The driver's seat is surprisingly comfortable (for me) and I can do long days without discomfort.
Although I have not the experience with the Varadero as Peter, I drove 2500 km within 7 days in Italy for holiday on the MS. I found out that the bike is very nimble and handles easily in the rain on both Autostrade and twisties with the stock tires (even with a loose duffle bag bungeed to the rear seat).
