The MTS will do more for you, it is more "flexible" in the usage. Long distance, track, 2-up

2 very different bikes designed for 2 very different experiences. I have riddent the GT for 4 days of touring and own a Multi. The Multi will do more as a total bike. The GT while competent on the road is more of a Sunday rider, 2 up, ice cream with the wife kind of bike.

Nice bike, just not my cuppa tea.

The Multi is a much better "All Around" bike IMNSHO.

The GT looks cool and as already stated, is a Sunday 2-up ride for ice cream kind of bike. The MTS can be used in town, tour and track. I love my Multi and think it's the cat's meow. :)

I sat on the GT only, but did you guys notice the mirror placement? It seems that if you get aggressive at all the mirror is exactly where you want to place your head on a turn.

I rode one in Italy for 4 days last summer. It did just fine 1 up. It's a more relaxed ride and not a sporting as I would like. The seat was very comfy, bars were good, engine (same as multi) has plenty of grunt. The cruise factor was excellent but pushed in the mountains really exposed it's limitations. I also had a Monster for 5 days and it's much more of a twisty tool. Although the Multi will put them both to shame.

I sold my 748 for the Multi and really think that the Multi is a better handling bike. As most on this list will tell you, the Multi is really the best of all biking worlds. It may be a bit goofy looking but it can get it on!
