Re: Is a 2010 Multi S with 44,000 miles worth considering

Honestly I would not consider that bike because I believe there are better deals out there. Not in your neighborhood but an example:

Me 4. IMHO, That generation strada is an upright, slightly detuned, 1200 cc superbike - you can always get one later on. And since you mentioned touring, I'll throw a KLR 650 in the mix for a bike to look at.

good luck

A multi (air cooled or new gen) with a full exhaust and a proper tune is one hell of a ride. And I believe you have electronic cruise to help out on that long ride :)

Yep, that's not a good sign. There will be others to choose from sooner or later.

Re: Trading my Hyperstrada for a Multistrada UPDATE

I've test ridden a Hyper and think they would be a great run around town/track bike. But I can't see them ever being a great two up bike unless maybe you're 5'5" and your passenger is 5' (I'm 6'4"). I've been looking at used new gen Multi's but they have not been able to pry me off my hopped up '04 ...

Re: 6'5" riders + ?

I'm about 6'4" and have been kinda looking at a 2nd gen bike. I've done a little looking and I believe Touratech has a high seat and there are options for peg lowering (I can't remember where)

That'll be a heck of a deal for someone. I'm guessing that bike was probably close to 30K with all those goodies on it ?

Re: New Hyper Test Ride

Some days I feel the same way Zook. During a long ride my a$$ is numb, my head hurts from my fancy helmet and various joints and muscles ache. But I keep going back for more

Anyway, I have test ridden a new hyper. They are light, nimble and quick as lightning. Definitely worth a look.

Congrats. I've been riding other bikes for a few years thinking I need something different but still have not found something to unseat me from my multi.

Re: 1200 S Touring Vs. Concours 14

Those were the last two bikes on my list. I test rode the Multistrada and fell in love. I looked at the Connie and looked at it and tried my best to convince myself that it was a better fit. I rode it and it is a good bike. Being a small guy, I definitely noticed the weight of the Connie. In the ...

Re: Ready to buy 1100S but . . . . .

My .02 cents worth on the DP seat: looks nice and good for around town, not so great for longer distances(I add an Airhawk cushion for that) and the gel gets/stays hot in the sun. So I park in the shade or put a towel over the seat on hot sunny days.

Re: Buying an 04 Multi 1000DS

If I remember correctly, there was a recall on an fuel o ring thingee (they did it on my bike this spring when I had it in for service) and I believe there was a recall on the original kickstand - they just replaced it w/a longer one. Both done by the dealer at nc.

Re: Riding position

I traded in a '99 RT for my Multi, have sat on the newer models and consider the riding position quite similar. At first I thought I leaned forward a tad more on the Multi but I am very comfortable with the position now. I also have the gel seat and in my opinion, it is an improvement over the stock ...
