Re: Undicided, Seeking Advive

Check this out. I dealt with these guys when I bought my '07 demo standard bike. If these S models were available at this price I would have happily paid the extra for the S.

I would assume there is some freight or set up to add, but it is still a great deal. Just email John through their site and ...

Re: Conundrum: Should I swap VFR750 for MTS???

I had a '98 Interceptor 800 for seven years. I loved the sound, refinement and typical of Honda, had zero maintenance or reliability quirks.

I sold that and picked up a Tiger 1050 that is an amazing bike and this spring I picked up the Multi.

When I bought the VFR back in '98 it was the best blend ...

Re: After First Demo Ride; Not Sure

I think of my Multi as a great single rider bike that can accommodate a passenger and can handle touring, especially if you stay off the expressways and find roads where an agile and firmly suspended bike like the Multi can shine.

If most of your riding is done solo and you do not do much ...

Re: Is the Multistrada a really good buy ?

The great thing about the Multi and the relatively new crop of "adventure tour" bikes that do not try to pretend they will be ridden off road is that they offer more than enough sporting performance for the street and are comfortable enough to actually ride, not just look at.

I cannot imagine you ...

Re: S vs non-S?

If you never rode the S model I doubt you will find the "standard" model lacking. You will not notice the weight difference with the carbon fiber so the carbon fiber just comes down to whether you like the look of the CF more than the plastic.

With the suspension you will definitely get a better ...

Re: multi or ST?

The ST will not be nearly as comfortable as the Multi. Multi will not be as powerful. If you want similar power of a Multi and power of the ST, the Tiger 1050 would be the ticket. That is what I ended up with and enjoy it very much. The best bike I ever had.

I was coming off a VFR which was a great ...

Re: WANTED 1000S

I was looking at the Multi's this past fall. I found a black one that had nice options and was reasonably priced near Albany, NY. The guy selling it was named Lee and his email address was mishleon@msn.com. If you can live with black and he still has it you may have a winner!

Good luck in your ...

Re: If I Buy a MTS Should I Expect It To Break?

Thanks for the feedback guys. If my Monster service experience was not as terrible as it was and the only dealer within 2 hours was not so poor, I probably would just buy the thing and forget it.

However, because the only dealer within 2 hours is not great and the next closest one is 6 hours away ...

If I Buy a MTS Should I Expect It To Break?

In a search for the replacement to my Monster and VFR I keep coming back to the MTS. The VStrom, FZ6, and FZ1 just do not cut it. I test rode a Rockster, K1200S, K1200R and R1200RT. K bikes were not comfortable enough and the R's did not have enough soul. Also cost a fortune.

MTS seems to be ...
