Dean,
Given the current economic climate, and the riding season winding down is some areas of the country, I would think that if you can find a "new" '07 that would be the way to go. I would feel that there are bargins to be had on old inventory that dealers are paying floor plan on. That is unless ...

Re: What's a good price on a "New" '07 1100 (non-S)
Just for a point of reference, I had an opportunity to buy a '07 S-demo(1500 miles) at $10,400.00. Then the meltdown occurred, and we discovered a significant amount of damage due to the remnants of IKE that hit the mid-west to the house. If I can see my way clear in a few months, I may go back and ...

Gave Ny Dealer The Bad News
At the tine of my original original post (Dow Jones Meltdown) the market was not hovering at 9250(40% down) All the pundits point to continued volitility until mid '09 with a possible recovery starting in 20210. What all of this is getting to, is that I just told my dealer that it doesn't make much ...

Dow Jones fallout
Damn this hurts. The continued sinking of the stock market in spite of "the bailout" means we're in for a long rough road. Since it looks like "it'll get worse before it gets better", I've decided to postpone the purchase of a MTs that I've had my eye on.

Re: Undicided, Seeking Advive
$!0,400.00 is for the bike ONLY. Then they add options, taxes and fees.
I think they're charging me a grand for the Termis. I'm reducing my "wish list" of options, so the OTD price will go down.

Re: Undicided, Seeking Advive
DENTGUY,
$10,400.00 is what they are telling me is their bottom line on the demo "07 is. I wish they'd go down to $8500-9000.00.
Don't have a price on the '08 because I just decided to explore that potential option.

Re: Undicided, Seeking Advive
I am answering all the Qs from FL. (visiting the g-kids for a few days).
1. Both the '07 demo and the '08s would have "as new" warranty with them.
2. I believe the '07 has the whole package: Termi slip-ons, DP ECU and Air Filter.
3. The bank looks at the '07 as a "used" bike so they will loan me ...

I am in a bit of a quandary as to which of the 2 MTS 1100S I should buy. I am going to put my dilemma before this forum:
My Ducati dealer has the following MTS 1100Ss for sale:
1- early 2007 demo with 2,000 miles on the odometer and Termi slip-ons. 600 mile service done. This bike has been ridden by ...

Re: Are Demo Multis Not A Good Buy
The dealer is the only game in town. They seem to be well respected. They have a loyal following and they've been very patient and respectful to me. Bottom line is that I have no issues with the dealer from a customer perspective.
Let see if I have my US/CAN conversions correct. The bike had 5,000 ...

Are Demo Multis Not A Good Buy
I can understand if I was looking at a demo superbike that there is probably a concern that at least some of the "test" riders could have abused the bike. There have even been some post that went so far as to say that demo models should be avoided like the plague. Is this true with the Multistrada ...

Do Dealers Get Incentives?
Does anybody know if Ducati throws extra money at their dealers to help them move their '07 and '08 demo bikes, and how much the amount is? Is their any website that John Q. Public can go to to get what the dealer cost on a Ducati is?
Thanks,
Mike

Test Ride #2
What a difference a few days make.Second test ride of the 1100S was like day and night.
#1. I was more relaxed
#2. Demo course was a lot better and a longer ride. Not just a big circle
#3. kept engine above 3,000 RPM
#4. Only used 1 finger on the front brake lever
The only bad news is my 4' 10" wife ...

Re: '07 Dealer Demo
SLROSA,
$10,500.00 OTD for an '07 1100S, REALLY?????????????? My dealer says $10,400.00 is their cost. Then you add the myrid of "fees" to get the OTD price. This demo has Termi slip-ons plus the 600 mile service has been done.

And I thought H-D accessoried were expensive
WOW is all I can say. Maybe STUNNED is more appropriate. I went to price a "package" of accessories to be put on the '07 1100S demo, with Termi slip on, that I'm looking at to buy. The price of the Termies plus the side panniers and top case put me within a few dollars of the $3500.00 limit on my ...

Re: '07 Dealer Demo
slrosa & dentguy,
I think I saw somewhere the'09s will be increased $500.00 over the '08s.
I don't think my dealer is going to bite on $9500.00. They're to new to be in the business of loosing money. According to kbb.com an 07 is valued at $10,995.00. I'll probably start at $10,250.00 and see where ...
